Masio, located in the province of Alessandria and diocese of Asti, is a town of Monferrato and birthplace of Urbano Rattazzi, but also of our Paolo Massobrio and the businessman Urbano Cairo. You can see it from afar, from the exit of Felizzano on the A26 motorway thanks to its recently renovated Saracen tower. Just below, where there were once the roadhouses where the horses rested and passing travellers stopped, there is this osteria dedicated to the district of Lausanne that evokes the long stretches of those travellers who arrived from Switzerland and who are now modern wine tourists who come to rediscover authentic Piedmont cuisine.




A few dining rooms, two are elegant and one is cozy and simply furnished. There is a good display of wines and, above all, a welcome that has the smile of Franco “Scarpetta”, the long-standing patron of this restaurant assisted by the dynamic Pejo.
