The Jewish community of Casale Monferrato preserves two museums in addition to the magnificent baroque Synagogue.
The two floors of the women's galleries are home to the Jewish Art and History Museum, which display a rich heritage of furnishings and objects for worship. Of great interest are the section dedicated to the presentation of the festivities that accompany the fundamental religious and social milestones of Jewish life and that dedicated to modern Jewish art which puts on show the works of artists such as Emanuele Luzzati, Roland Topor, Antonio Recalcati.
The picturesque area in the basement, once home to the ancient unleavened bread oven, is now dedicated to the Museum of Lights which hosts works by artists who have interpreted the theme of the Hanukkah lamp in an original way.
