Another leap forward for this modern trattoria set in a country home with garden and outdoor dining area in summer. The Molinari brothers have made this place, secluded and not far from the city, what could be called an oasis of good taste, characterised by elegance, genuine tastes and several innovative dishes. Excellent and carefully selected wine list. In short, all the elements for success. It has arrived, considering the good attendance and our profound satisfaction after the last visit this year.
The menu, as always, offers both meat and fish dishes, right from the starter (€8): Fassone beef tartare with quail egg and drops of Dijon mustard, delicate marinated veal cutlets, warm Reggiano flan with Kaiser pear compote. The first course (€15) includes the tasty roast filled ravioloni with their sauce, the Liguria-style trofiette with basil, potato and bean sauce, but also beef agnolotti in spicy Nebbiolo reduction, orecchiette with stewed baby squid sauce no tomatoes and then those perfect, smooth potato dumplings with lemon-scented duck breast sauce, which won us over. Of the main course (€23), try the Chersaco snails bourguignon, or, for the fish choice, the wild bream fillet and glazed cherry tomatoes, fresh lobster and pineapple cube salad in Worcester sauce, the duck foie gras with vanilla salt and Tropea onion compote, the excellent sliced beef with sautéed mushrooms. The desserts (€6) are divine: caramelised apple tartare with vanilla ice cream, cup of mixed fruit in spirit, vanilla semifreddo with toffee flavoured caramel glazing and Piedmont hazelnuts, artisan ice cream, well made.
