La Smilla vineyards are located in Bosio, Piedmont, close to the Ligurian Apennines, and embrace the DOCG zone of Gavi and the DOC zone of Dolcetto di Ovada. The steep and impervious hills where the vineyards grow are worked traditionally, with limited use of machinery.
At La Smilla, wine is produced in a new way each year, thanks to imagination, creativity, enhancement of the special features of each vintage and a continuous commitment to improvement. All La Smilla wines are the fruit of these values.

The cellar is situated in the historic center of Bosio and has retained the characteristics of the past: the part underground, with concrete casks, continues to be a rare and characteristic environment, while the more modern part is home to steel casks and French oak casks for ageing the wines.
