Lu is home to the San Giacomo Museum of Sacred Art, which includes the Church (rebuilt in the 16th century), the Sacristy and the Casa della Reggenza, which is home to artifacts dating to between the 15th and 20th century as well as precious canvases like i Canonici by Pietro Francesco Guala.
Cuccaro Monferrato becomes part of the Marquisate of Monferrato in the 14th century; it is home to the Centro Studi Colombiano, dedicated to Christopher Columbus and to the alleged relations of the Colombo family of Cuccaro with the well-known navigator.
Two Big Benches (no. 98 and no. 99) have been installed In Lu-Cuccaro Monferrato, connected to each other by a panoramic walk.
The municipalities of Lu and Cuccaro Monferrato were merged in recent years.
