The heart of the Carlotta and Rivarola Farming Company is “Grillano Castle” and, together with the vineyards, the rural buildings and the wine cellars, it constitutes a village characterising the inhabited area of the homonymous hamlet. It is located in the municipality of Ovada, along the Ovada-Grillano-Guardia-Cremolino ridge, at approximately 200 m above sea level. Grillano Castle has belonged to the Torello Rovereto family for four generations. Historically, it is dedicated to grape growing (primarily Dolcetto and Barbera, Cortese and Chardonnay) and to wine production respecting ancient traditions to produce high quality products. We produce two lines of wines: traditional, which uses organic farming techniques and without the addition of sulphites and superior, with wines aged in oak barrels.
