The Zanello Farming Company is located in the heart of Monferrato, a territory recognised for its importance as as winegrowing cultural landscape by the UNESCO committee in 2014. The farm covers an area of 40 hectares of owned land. 4.5 are planted with vineyards and the remaining are used for crops, fruit orchard, hazelnut grove and a small olive grove. The selection was immediately directed at the recovery of the autochthonous vines, primarily red, originating from this territory: Grignolino del Monferrato Casalese, Barbera d’Asti, Freisa and Bonarda. The desire to add a white wine has led to the insertion of new Chardonnay and Arneis vineyards with the plan of assessing the production of a Spumante Classic Method.
