75% of the fruit production of the Curone, Grue, and Ossona valleys is marketed by Cooperativa Volpedo Frutta. Peaches, apricots, cherries, pears, tomatoes and potatoes are cultivated using the integrated pest management system and the fruits, ripened on the plant, reach the consumer within 24 hours without passing through the cold room. The flagship of production are the large juicy peaches of Volpedo, with a pleasant and intense fragrance between sweetness and acidity, harvested from late June to late August. Cooked at low temperatures and with the addition of little sugar, Volpedo Frutta also makes extra jams that keep the colours, flavours and aromas of the fruit intact.
