Count Gregorio Scati purchased Quartino from Counts Avellani in 1684. The first part of the house was built in the years that immediately followed. In 1883, Count Vittorio Emanuele Scati of Casaleggio continued to expand the villa according to the drawings of Giovanni Ceruti, well-known architect of the time, who designed the Bollente and the first part of the Grand Hotel "Nuove Terme" in Acqui Terme. Between the late 19th century and early 20th century, during the Liberty period, the expansion work was completed and the villa took on the size and appearance it has today. Many illustrious guests graced the villa during that time, including Guglielmo Marconi, Silvio Pellico and members of the Savoia family and nobility of the time.
The self-guided tour includes a walk in the park.
