The earliest written sources prove the presence of an ancient church building around the 13th century, prior to 1205.
From 1582 the building is joined to the Padri Carmelitani di Promontorio of Genoa, while the church itself was built from 1600, since the baptismal records start from around 1629.
The church presents a facade closed laterally by two masonry pilasters and concluded by a triangular pediment, plastered without decoration. Internally it is laid out on a longitudinal plan, with presbytery featuring apsidal termination.
