In 1572, the Church of San Giulio dating to the fourteenth century was elevated to parish church, and placed next to the graveyard; some remains of this building have survived. After several decades, in 1614 the parish church was transferred to the chapel of Santa Caterina in the village, built in 1461 and previously dedicated to the Annunciation. In 1909, Don Forneris, parish priest at that time, gave way to the construction of the new church, designed by Luigi Vergagni from Volpara; nevertheless, the breakout of the Great War imposed the suspension of the work when the floor and plaster of the dome were still missing. They were added more than thirty years later.
