The position, at the top of a staircase, and the imposing facade give this monument a sign that underlines the importance of this nucleus over the centuries. The facade was completely rebuilt at the end of the last century in a neo-Renaissance style. The building was built in 1500 and consecrated in 1578. The interior, with three naves, is magnificent.


Artworks and objects inside:
On the high altar a bas-relief represents the patron saint with bishop's vestments. On the choir and in the presbytery there are many decorations by minor artists: canvases and sculptures representing saints. We also note the Chapel of the Rosary, rich in decorations and stuccoes, with a beautiful altarpiece and the Chapel of the Crucifix. Among the other side chapels we recall: The Chapel of Santa Lucia and San Bernardo with an altarpiece by Sr. Orsola Caccia, the Chapel of San Pietro, whose altarpiece is attributed to Moncalvo's daughter.
