The Church of San Marcello Papa is situated in the hamlet of Bettole of Pozzolo Formigaro. It was built at the end of the eighteenth century after the will of Marcello Raggio dated 30 May 1797 left 60 plots of land upon which to build an oratory for the public and a house for the chaplain. The church was later enlarged in 1926.
