The hidden gem of this territory. The gravel is a tool for discovering white roads with a perfect surface that develop between fields and villages with linearity. You find yourself immersed in the countryside, on embankments and mostly dirt roads for a smooth gravel ride. The 5km straight before Castel Bormida is a real highlight for fast gravel riders, with an adventurous ford on the Bormida. Approaching the hills of Acqui Terme, the landscape changes as we enter a world of narrow valleys and steep hills dotted with vineyards, where the panorama repays fatigue on the steep 'strappi' (breaks) that will gratify the most technical riders, and an asphalt ramp winds through the hills between vineyards and villages. Last highlight: the forest after Mombaruzzo, pure CX style.
