Terzo is a village situated on a large scenic rock terrace that overlooks the point where the Erro stream flows into the River Bormida. Its name comes from the distance from Acqui on the via romana, exactly three miles.
The parish Church of San Maurizio was consecrated in 1893 following restoration and expansion work carried out on the ancient church which dates from the second half of the sixteenth century. The latter had been built on the foundations of a pre-existing medieval structure. Inside, you can admire a magnificent 19th-century organ built by the Lingiardi family from Lombardy, a true masterpiece of the highest quality.
