The Naturalistic Astronomical Observatory of Casasco was set up in 1997 by private individuals who, having constituted an Association, have proposed its expansion to local agencies, with the purpose of dissemination, teaching and research for public use. Its location on Costa di Magrassi, a highly scenic area, has been chosen for easy access and photopollution, which is still moderate.
