TEMPORARILY NOT VISITABLE
Externally nondescript, this church saves its especially interesting features for visitors who enter the church.
This 16th century rectangular building was built by the Compagnia degli Angeli confraternity. The wooden panelled ceiling dates back to 1505 and, amongst the works of art on display, is a precious polyptych from the 1500s with a gold base called St. Anna, Virgin with Child and Saints attributed to the studio of Martino Spanzotti, an altar piece, the Circumcision of Christ by Bernardino Lanino dated 1555 and a painting, Our Lady of the Assumption, by Pietro Francesco Guala. Of special note is an altar tapestry of the Flemish school which also depicts the Circumcision of Christ and dates from the first half of the 1500s.
