Altavilla Monferrato is home to an important interchange station between three lines Asti-Casale-Alessandria, still used by the Arfea bus service. Here we find the steam Tramway Museum, integral part of the Ecomuseum of Basso Monferrato Astigiano. In the station courtyard, there are several collectors pieces on show recovered and restored by the Association. The rich collection includes two tender Henschel & Sohn Lanzo locomotives, one goods wagon of the late 19th century, an electric accumulator locomotive, an American Davenport locomotive (in working order), housed at an imposing iron exhibition structure.
