Restaurant and Hotel

Hotel Restaurant Monte Boglelio is opened in 1928, when the brothers Francesco, Mario and Paolo Toso, together with Giuseppe Magrassi from Pavia, build the "Ristoro Belvedere" on Monte Boglelio (1,490 m a.s.l.) to accommodate the first tourists from Voghera, Pavia, Tortona, Alessandria, during the summer season.
At the time, it was undoubtedly the highest accommodation facility of the area. The business continued successfully until 1943; after the events of 8 September, the generosity of the Toso brothers was severely tested when the hotel was destroyed by the Nazi-Fascist militia for having accommodated several military prisoners of war on the run,
Paolo Toso experienced other adversities but he did not lose heart. He rolled up his sleeves and with fervent determination he put the business back on its feet in the piazzetta di Forotondo building a new hotel restaurant calling it significantly "Monte Boglelio in memory of the work carried out and thwarted by the stupidity of a war. Today, the work of Paolo Toso is continued by his children Bruno and Marisa and his grandchildren.

The restaurant serves homemade cuisine which enhances local flavors. The hotel has 10 delightful rooms.
