Mazzetti d’Altavilla – Distillers since 1846, it is the most historic grappa producing company of the North-West and one of the oldest in Italy. Founded even before the Unification of Italy, in the heart of Monferrato, Mazzetti d’Altavilla distils fresh marc every year from the noblest vineyards of Piedmont, becoming an expression of a territory and of 0-mileage Grappa. At the top of Altavilla Monferrato, the prestigious premises welcomes national and international visitors interested in emotional tours. Here, it is also possible to visit the photography exhibition “Il Monferrato nello Spirito”, the Historic Park and the Votive Chapel “La Rotonda”, a magnificent architectural gem dating to 1808, restored by the same Mazzetti Family. The elegant Cantinone della Magione Mazzetti d’Altavilla, the emotional Grappa Gallery, the striking Barrique cellar and the Distillery are spaces able to engage visitors from all over the world who reach the top of the hill of Altavilla Monferrato every day to become acquainted with the history and the nuances of a prestigious Distillate set in a breathtaking landscape, inserted in the heart of the UNESCO hills of Monferrato. Guided tours and lunches and dinners at the Ristorante Materia Prima can be booked. The Grappa Store is open every day for tasting sessions and purchases (check out the website www.mazzetti.it for opening times and possible closing times for Public Holidays). There are young and aged grappas, reserves, grape and wine spirits, Brandy liqueurs, bitters, gin, fruit in liqueur, alcoholic sugar cubes, sweet delicacies, beauty creams and serums with essence of grappa and plenty of gift ideas. The premises is free from architectural barriers and there is a Cafeteria and Palina for the free charging of electric vehicles.
