Daring combinations are a typical characteristic of Monferrato: the historical Mazzetti d'Altavilla distillery is also home to the Restaurant “Materia Prima”, where local cuisine meets the distillation world. The Restaurant, situated on the top floor of the ancient Monastery (the seating capacity is 60 as well as the outdoor dining area) is open by prior reservation for dinner on Friday and Saturday and lunch on Saturday and Sunday. The menus are carefully studied and give preference to local and seasonal dishes with the possibility of trying curious tasting tours with spirits produced by Mazzetti d'Altavilla (optional). It is possible (for groups) to request special openings at other times of the week or request the possibility to hold private events such as ceremonies or business meetings taking advantage of a scenic space specially prepared for exclusive use (seating capacity for more than 100 people). In addition to the Restaurant on site, it is also possible to carry out visits, tastings and purchases in the Grappa Store.
