This is one of our favourite trattorias. A place to recommend to dear friends, because you are sure of the substance on the one hand and the fact that they serve the best agnolotti in the area.



We are in Felizzano, which is a motorway exit but also a doorway to Monferrato. This village was one of the first to embrace the philosophy of Denominazione Comunale (traditional local product), sanctioned for the Festa della Leva (School reunion) and for two specialties: the puvrà and agnolotti. They are the specialty of this restaurant of bygone times, located below the village tower. They have the good old-fashioned taste, with stew sauce, the perfect pasta and the rigorously square shape (before dedicating herself to the restaurant the cook managed a fresh pasta shop for many years). But it is not advisable to stop at the first course dishes, because everything is good here, beginning with the starters (€ 8): veal in tuna sauce, Olivier salad, rabbit tuna, peppers in bagna caoda, Fassone carpaccio with flakes of Grana Padano. Among the first courses (€ 8) the tagliolini, the potato dumplings with sausage or with Gorgonzola or Castelmagno are also worth trying. In the cold seasons, there are always mixed boiled meats and braised beef, but you can also ask for the cacciatora-style chicken which hardly anyone makes anymore (second courses €13). And the cod in tomato sauce or with lentils. The tripe and stuffed guinea-fowl will also be outstanding. The desserts (5) are the classic ones: bonet, panna cotta, homemade tarts and hazelnut cake with zabaione, as well as the classic tiramisu or lemon tiramisu in summer, with orange or pears and chocolate in winter. The wines are few but good quality. The hospitality is warm and the service friendly. The bill light and an extra reason to return whenever you want. Just like we do.
