La Meridiana is situated inside the Bishop's Seminary of Acqui Terme, a prestigious property built following the plan designed by Bernardo Vittone between 1755 and 1772. Built over the centuries to facilitate the hospitality and studies of religious, following skillful restoration work, it is now open to tourists offering simple and comfortable hospitality in keeping with the spirit of the place. Past the original wooden door you are in front of the Chapel of the Major Seminary in neo-Gothic style, which dominates the vast courtyard embraced by the portico arcades and watched from above by the magnificent bronze statue of the Sacred Heart. The scissors shaped staircase leads to Hotel La Meridiana. The long and meditative corridors of the seminarians, the vast windows which face onto the red roofs of the historical centre, the various convivial rooms, the cloister always in bloom and lit by the sun offer a relaxing atmosphere in the antique places steeped in spiritual history where silence regenerates body and mind, while time continues to flow outside these spaces.
The rooms are simply furnished but carefully designed, equipped with air conditioning, private bathroom and TV. Ideal for long stays.
The "Antico Refettorio" restaurant can be booked for events, ceremonies and groups. It serves delicious Piedmont cuisine, accompanied by a
full wine menu.
Bar del Duomo is located in the magnificent rooms of the former seminary library, skillfully renovated to create a comfortable ambiance for guests and ideal for hosting events on request. The tables arranged under the portico look out over the cloister offering a moment of picturesque stillness.
