The municipal Botanic Garden has been named after Dina Bellotti from Alessandria, the Popes’ painter, the first woman whose works became part of the Vatican’s Modern Art Collection. Bellotti described nature and people through her art and her painting is always elegant and luminous, rich in color as rich in colors is the municipal botanic garden: a place where, by magic, the visitor discovers sweet fragrances, joyful chromatic shades and where the soul feels closer to the world of plants and flowers. Inside the Garden, there are several glasshouses with exotic plants, others with parrots, a small lake and several areas of lawn, on which experimentation is currently underway to rediscover some native species.
Open: from Monday to Friday, 9 am to midday. Times may change on public holidays.
Free admission: it is possible to organize guided tours by contacting the email address.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash.
