The Soban family has opened a second, and now a third ice cream parlor in Alessandria, after the one in Valenza (with its own independent laboratory). In 2011, it won the Golosaria Prize for the best ice cream parlors and the special jury prize for the ice cream with Hazelnut Igp of Cortemilia (Cn). Their ice cream parlors sell natural ice cream that is different and unique every day, because it changes according to the tastes of the ingredients used to make it. This is the challenge of the Soban family: find the best ingredients giving priority to those made by small local producers. This is the only way that ice cream can become an integral part of a food culture to rediscover the true link between food as a finished product and the artisans who have made it possible thanks to their work and professionalism.
