The birth of the first village dates to 1100-1200 B.C. thanks to a small Ligurian tribe: the Marici. The small center came under Roman rule, Barbarian occupation, the power of the princes of Milan (Visconti first and the Sforza later)
until 1600.
From 1600 to 1700 the area was dominated primarily by the Spanish, a time characterized by continuous wars which even saw the involvement of the House of Savoy, and wreaked serious damage to the area.
In the early 1700s this village passed to the House of Savoy, the years that followed brought the French occupation of Napoleon until 1814 when the House of Savoy returned.
The Parish church of San Felice is a Roman-Gothic building with a curious spired bell tower, the facade restored in recent times has a modern look.
