The village is closely connected to the Vidua Family and to their 18th century villa, returned to its original splendour and home of cultural initiatives. Carlo Vidua, in particular, between the late 18th century and early 19th century undertook a series of journeys around the world (giving him the name of "travelling count", during which he gathered news and objects connected to the uses and habits of different populations (one part of his collection is on show in the Civic Museum of Casale Monferrato).
