Built in the late 80s to the design of the famous architect Franciscan father Costantino Ruggeri, it is a very modern church, an example of post-conciliar ecclesial architecture but with orthodox appearances and icons.
The first Sunday in June the Parish celebrates the patron feast with the procession in honour of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, experienced with great devotion by the many faithful. The route goes through a different neighbourhood each year, so that the statue of the Sacred Heart can "enter the homes" of all parishioners.
