Canottieri Tanaro Alessandria was opened along the River Tanaro in the early Seventies. The club was the meeting place and haven for many residents of Alessandria, as it was inside a Nature Park which is still a landmark for the city. Inside the Nature Park it is often possible to see cormorants, herons, pheasants, hares, flamingos, and migratory birds. Over the years, the Club has equipped itself with seven red clay tennis courts, an indoor tennis court in play-it, a basketball court, regulation-size football pitch, two swimming pools, beach volley court, day nursery, gym, sauna, jacuzzi.
