Following the renovation work, the arcades of piazza Caduti will be re-opened and cycle tourists can use the equipment installed under the arches. This is the first “Bike Point Monferrato”, the first facility equipped with useful services for those who love to explore the hills by bike and e-bike users (there is also a charging point) and need to leave their bicycle in a safe place and find useful information. The facility, facing onto one of the two provincial roads that cross San Salvatore, is easy to find, convenient to reach and offers practical services. Fully equipped with tools, pump, spanners and screwdrivers, it will be enriched in the years to come with other cycle tourist facilities. The information plates and panels installed under the arches are in Italian and English and full of news, dialect proverbs and the trails of the 45th parallel route (San Salvatore is halfway between the pole and the equator). This is a project that looks to the future and to the development of sustainable tourism.
