Coniolo lies on a gently rolling hill from which it is possible to admire one of the most beautiful views of Monferrato, to the extent that over time it has gained the reputation of being one of the most romantic villages in Italy. Many couples in love choose to spend a few hours of full romanticism here. The mayor of Coniolo, inspired by the sentimental atmosphere of the maze of narrow lanes and streets that lead to the most appreciated lookout points, has decided to install a display cabinet which contains roses with the wording: "da aprire solo in caso di amore vero". There is also the English translation "open only in the case of true love" for international lovers who are reaching this small village more and more frequently in larger numbers.
