Villa Garibaldi was built between the 18th and 19th century and took its current name from its use as a meeting point for the local Garibaldini. This was the name given to followers of Giuseppe Garibaldi, hero of the two worlds and author of a fundamental page in Italian history: the Expedition of the 1000 in
1860.
In 1954 it was purchased by the Campionissimo Fausto Coppi whose birth town, Castellania, is a few kilometres from the Villa. Coppi is still clearly remembered in the area, including through the Museum of the Campionissimi in Novi Ligure. Following a slow and careful restoration, Villa Garibaldi is now a prestigious charming location in a strategic area, the ideal starting point to discover a corner of Piedmont so rich in history and natural beauties.
