The tradition of the vegetable gardens is rooted in the Castellazzo area, but Paolo Bobbio has gone further by converting his great-grandfather’s land to the cultivation of vegetables and medicinal herbs. He uses only the founding principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture: the ban on herbicides and pesticides and the cultivation technique of “false sowing" as a natural form of weeding. The proposal also includes red beet and Cappello del Prete pumpkin, fresh vegetables, lavender, Roman chamomile, wild fennel and saffron, patiently grown and meticulously hand-picked.
